It's Alive- New 5DmkII firmware- 24p at your fingertips.

New Canon 5DmkII Firmware has arrived and Just the man to test it - Philip Bloom.

I must admit I was a little hesitant to jump into the HDSLR fan base. The audio issues, focus, and iris complaints. The list seemed too tall.
Well to their credit Canon listened and has addressed a lot of the original issues with the camera, thus drawing me closer to drooling over it. But this last step pushed me over the edge, the much awaited Native 24p acquisition.

If you follow the HDSLR chatter at all then you know Philip Bloom. An outspoken advocate is probably an understatement at best. Bloom a 20 year film making veteran has produced some absolutely astonishing videos using only the 5dmkII. His blog gives a clear example of what the camera can do, and if you were on the fence about HDSLR he'll knock you off of it. So if you're Interested in learning more or getting your 24p update visit his site. As an example of the level of quality the 5dmkII can bring i'm posting a music video from his site using the latest firmware. when you read how simply the video came together and the process to make it, it'll blow your mind.
